I’m about 2 weeks away from making my annual journey to the Great Smoky Mountains. This time, I’ll be in search of amazing Fall colors. With any luck, I’ll find mountains flush with deep colors throughout.
Below is an image from Germany Valley, West Virginia taken back in 2013 during a road trip through Virginia and West Virginia.
Another image, this time from Shenandoah National Park. It was fortunate that I caught the clouds rolling across the mountain as the storm cleared.
This is one of my favorite times of the year for photography. Regardless of whether I come home with a bumper crop of new images, I’ll be spending a week in the mountains enjoying the cool crisp air and the solitude of nature. It doesn’t get any better than that!
